If your bathroom does not meet your aesthetic and/or practical needs, remodeling the room can help make all the difference. Sometimes quick adjustments and surface-level alterations are all that is needed to bring the room up to your standards. However, there are times when you need a more thorough solution. That’s where Bath Fitter of Pittsburgh comes in – we can give you the full bathroom remodel you need.
We explained how Bath Fitter of Pittsburgh completes full bathroom remodels during the 2021 Pittsburgh Kitchen and Bath Show. This was a live, virtual event that we hosted with Pittsburgh’s own Cabinet World. During multiple segments we covered everything from the professional Bath Fitter product to Critical Need Installations.
Below, we’re going to breakdown a segment in which our team members Sam Lucci and Mike Meili talked about completing full bathroom remodels. Keep reading to learn more about what this project entails and how Bath Fitter of Pittsburgh can complete a full bathroom remodel in your home.
What is a Full Bathroom Remodel?
Bathroom remodels come in all sizes, from full makeovers to surface-level touch-ups. The more things that you change in the bathroom, the closer you get to a full bathroom remodel.
Adjusting just a few elements in the room – completing a tub to shower conversion, for example – amounts to a partial bathroom remodel.
Altering or replacing most of what is currently in your bathroom – from the lights to the tiles, sink, and shower – qualifies your project as a full bathroom remodel.
The extent of your next project will depend on the scope of your goals for this room. Do you need a new bathtub? We can get this done for you as a partial bathroom remodel. Would you like to replace all your bathroom appliances and update the aesthetics of the room? Then a full bathroom remodel is the project for you.
Whatever the scope of your next project, Bath Fitter of Pittsburgh is here to help. Our team of professionals will work with you to get you the bathroom you want. If you’d like to learn more about how Bath Fitter can give you the bathroom of your dreams, feel free to give us a call, contact us online, or visit one of our Pittsburgh locations.
How to Get a Full Bathroom Remodel
Great full bathroom remodels begin with Bath Fitter of Pittsburgh, because we go above and beyond to help homeowners bring their dream bathroom to life. Bath Fitter of Pittsburgh can complete your full bathroom remodel from top to bottom. If you want, “We can gut a bathroom down to the studs, re-drywall it, and finish it…” Mike noted. He continued:
We can take care of all the accessories in the bathroom: the toilet paper holders, the towel bars, things along those lines. We also can change the exhaust fan and add an exhaust fan. So really, there’s a wide range of options we can help customers with when looking into their full bathroom at reasonable costs.
Whatever the scope of what you have in mind, we’re here to help you get the bathroom remodel you want.
Working with Bath Fitter of Pittsburgh
As Sam and Mike explained during the 2021 Pittsburgh Kitchen and Bath Show, it’s easy to start working with Bath Fitter of Pittsburgh – all that you need to do is make an appointment.
An appointment can happen in two ways – an in-home visit or a virtual consultation. During this appointment, one of our designers will assess your current bathroom and talk with you about your remodeling goals.
“It’s a conversation” said Sam, “about, ‘What type of product are you looking for? How long are you going to be in the home?’ And then [the project is] really like a package that gets put together.”
Once we get a better idea of what you want from your next full bathroom remodel, we’ll schedule a date to begin the physical work of remodeling your bathroom.
Getting Your Full Bathroom Remodel, the Way You Want It
At Bath Fitter of Pittsburgh, we believe that you should get the bathroom you want out of your next remodeling project. Your tastes and practical needs are unique, so you shouldn’t have to settle for a one-size-fits-all bathroom that isn’t tailored to you.
To bring you a bathroom that’s far from generic, Bath Fitter of Pittsburgh listens to you – the homeowner. Whatever you want out of your next full bathroom remodel, we’ll make sure that the completed project meets your needs. We’re here to help you bring your dream bathroom to life.
“You tell us what you want, and we show you how to get it,” concluded Mike.
Sam shared a few more details during the 2021 Pittsburgh Kitchen and Bath Show:
[It’s] about getting you what you want… [instead of] telling you what exactly you should have… You could ask suggestions, but at the end of the day, you’re in control of the project and you get exactly what it is that you’re looking for… [rather than] being told you have to have something designed for you that you don’t want.
If you’re not completely sure yet what you want out of your next bathroom remodel, don’t worry. You can work with one of our professional designers to figure out what sort of changes will work the best for your particular style and practical needs.
Full Bathroom Remodels from Bath Fitter of Pittsburgh
At Bath Fitter of Pittsburgh, we know our work is a cut above the rest, and so do the many happy customers that we have helped over the years.
If you plan to get a full bathroom remodel, you’ll get a job well done thanks to our seamless system, expert employees, and high-quality materials. Sam and Mike explained how all three of these factors lead to the best full bathroom remodel possible during the 2021 Pittsburgh Kitchen and Bath Show.
A Seamless System
The seamless, one-piece wall system that we use at Bath Fitter of Pittsburgh differs from other bathroom remodeling systems in many respects.
To start, we don’t put together a bathtub or shower wall using multiple panels. Instead, we create a one-piece, custom wall that will fit perfectly into your existing bathtub or shower area.
An immediate benefit of this system is that a shower or bathtub installed by Bath Fitter of Pittsburgh will need minimal caulking and, as a result, minimal effort to maintain. As a result, bathtubs and showers that we install stay in mint condition for much longer than those installed by other remodeling companies.
Our Expert Employees
The work of installation is always done by Bath Fitter of Pittsburgh employees. We never subcontract your project to someone else.
“There’s no middleman,” Mike emphasized, “We’re a locally owned company in Pittsburgh, and everybody that comes to your house is local in Western Pennsylvania.”
We make sure that every single one of our employees is prepared for the task of your next bathroom remodel.
“They’re vetted, they’re screened, and they’re trained…” noted Sam, “They’re with us four [to] six months before they go out and actually do their first job on their own.”
In sum, our employees have the skill to complete your full bathroom remodel the way you want it. Plus, they have the experience to complete the work as quickly as is possible without compromising quality.
We make sure that we complete all of our work efficiently so that homeowners can have the bathroom of their dreams without having to wait too long for it. As Mike noted:
Typically, [with] our standard package… we do our acrylic system in the tub area, we do a luxury vinyl floor, new Kohler toilet, new vanity countertop, faucet, medicine cabinet, light fixture, and we will paint the bathroom. Typically, that takes anywhere from three to five days, depending on what needs to be done. If we get into a little bit heavier of a remodel, and we’re gutting walls, we’re putting tile on the floors, we might be moving some things around… [that could take] five to 10 working days, depending on how big the project gets.
The Best Materials
At Bath Fitter of Pittsburgh, we only use the best materials available. We bring top-notch materials to your project so that the finished product is sturdy and dependable – and so that you don’t have to bother with the hassle of going shopping for tiles, cabinets, etc. during your full bathroom remodel.
“We buy and supply all the materials,” said Mike, “so you don’t have to run around to home center to try to find stuff that works. You don’t have to hire an electrician for this; a plumber for this… We have everybody. We supply all the materials and all the labor to do the complete projects.”
During the 2021 Pittsburgh Kitchen and Bath Show, Sam and Mike went over a couple specific materials that we use. The first of these was luxury vinyl tile (LVT) and the other was acrylic.
What is LVT?
LVT, which stands for luxury vinyl tile, is an increasingly popular type of flooring that is available in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. It’s made from several laminated layers of vinyl, which makes it highly durable and flexible at the same time.
Given that, it’s no wonder why many are choosing to use this type of flooring in their bathroom. According to Same, “LVT is actually becoming really popular.”
What is Acrylic?
Acrylic, sometimes called plexiglass, is a durable thermoplastic that is lightweight and non-porous. It is often used as more shatter-resistant alternative to glass, but its qualities also make it a great choice for bathroom appliances.
The lightweight nature of acrylic makes it perfect for both first floor and upper-level bathrooms. In addition, the non-porous build of this material makes acrylic bathtubs and showers a breeze to clean.
In fact, we believe in the acrylic bathtubs and showers that we install so much, our team members even use the professional Bath Fitter product in their own home!
Sam shared his experience with acrylic during the 2021 Pittsburgh Kitchen and Bath Show:
I chose to put Bath Fitter acrylic into my house and the reason was because how easy that it cleans and lasts. Acrylic is 100% non-porous. So, no dirt or soap scum can penetrate the surface of the product. It lays up top and you spray it with… a light cleaner and you wipe it off. Gone are the days of having to actually scrub granite or… grout. What happens with grout is, it’s porous so eventually it’ll allow the water into it whereas acrylic being non-porous, it cleans and last. That’s why I put it in my house.
